Diploma Policy of Yamaguchi University (Bachelor’s Program)
?Yamaguchi University aims to enable students to Discover, Grow, and Create, and become members of society who can serve the region, Japan, and the world, in accordance with the principles set out in the Yamaguchi University charter. To achieve this goal, Yamaguchi University has established the following three educational objectives which students must achieve in order to graduate and receive a bachelor¡¯s degree.
1. A Broad Education and Widely Applicable Skill Set
?Our students are expected to acquire a broad education in the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences, as well as basic skills necessary in a variety of fields. They will be able to think flexibly and consider things from many points of view.
2. Specialized Skills and Knowledge
?Students are expected to be able to solve problems logically using specialized skills, knowledge and ample insight in their field of expertise.
3. Autonomy, Collaboration, and the Ability to Turn Ideas into Reality
?With strong ethics and a sense of autonomy, students are expected to work with others to combine their knowledge and skills to bring their ideas to life.
