Yamaguchi University was certified as ¡°JICA-SDGs Partner¡±
Yamaguchi University (YU) was certified as ¡°JICA-SDGs Partner¡± by JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) on May 22, 2023.
JICA has recognized organizations (companies, local governments, universities/research institutions, and NGO/NPO etc. based in Japan) that have been working to promote the SDGs as ¡°JICA-SDGs Partner.¡±
YU has already been certified as a JICA Development Studies Program (JICA-DSP) Partner University, and also implemented several projects with support from JICA, including acceptance of training participants from many training courses such as ¡°SDGs Global Leader¡±, ¡°Master’s Degree and Internship Program of African Business Education Initiative for Youth¡¡(ABE Initiative)¡±, and ¡°the Project for Human Resource Development Scholarship (commonly known as JDS)¡±, implementation of programs of ¡°Training for Youth¡±, ¡°JICA Partnership Program¡± and others.
Besides YU, many institutions such as JAXA, Shimane University, Ehime University, Yamagata University, Yokohama City, and Nippon Koei Co., Ltd. has been certificated as ¡°JICA-SDGs Partner.¡± YU will keep on working to achieve aim for SDGs in the field of education, research, and international/local area relationship.
